Q: It is my first time using Bluetooth sensors. Shall I buy any other tool for the connection
A: If you use it with iPhone or Android smartphone, the HC-02 adapter is not required.
The BWT901CL can support pairing with laptop’s Bluetooth, but the range of Bluetooth will be influenced. For a stable data transmission, the Bluetooth adapter would be recommended for Bluetooth connecting to a Windows PC. If you need to connect several sensors at the same time, you will need to buy several adapters to pair multiple devices.
Q: Can I develop my own APP for the devices to collect the data
A: For sure. The Android APP’s source code will be provided for reference. Likewise, if you plan to integrate the sensor’s data with your APP or other devices, it is necessary to study the communication protocol for data analysis.
Q: If I plan to use the WT901BLECL or BWT901CL Bluetooth accelerometer for Arduino, or Raspberry Pi, what should I do
A: For wired connections, it’s easier to use a type-C cable to connect the Arduino or Raspberry pi board to the IMU sensor.
For Bluetooth connection, because the Bluetooth acceleration sensor works as a slave and there will be a Bluetooth adapter that works as a master to build the communication. It is required to build the same Bluetooth chip or use the exclusive adapter to connect Arduino or Pi to Bluetooth IMU sensors, that will work eventually.
If you do not prefer this way, please kindly buy the serial sensors like WT901 modules. That is an easier way to collect IMU data with the MCU board like Arduino.
